4th Biennial of Ceramic: Focusing on urban design

25/06/03 - An exhibition of projects participating in the 4th Biennial of Ceramic organised by the municipality of Fiorano Modenese will be opened on 29 June at 5.00 p.m. in Spezzano Castle (Fiorano Modenese, province of Modena, Italy).
The eleven artists taking part will reflect the use of ceramic in urban design in the Fiorano municipality.

The Jury consists of Gloria Bianchino, Researcher and Director of the Communication Study and Archive Centre (CSAC) at the University of Parma; Gianna Dotti Messori, Councillor responsible for Cultural Services and Heritage and Tourism; Roberto Farina, Engineer; Enrico Manelli, lecturer in Scenography at the Accademia delle Belle Arti in Bologna, ceramist and painter; Giorgio Montanari, Head of the Culture Service; and Sergio Sassi, Managing Director of the Emilceramica Group and Chairman of Assopiastrelle.
The winning project will receive a prize of 5,000 euro.

The exhibition, open until 31 August, will also display works in the section "New promise: ideas for architectural ceramic" created by Art Institute graduates.
