Ceramic Technology Academy: autumn/winter training for ceramic companies based outside Italy
Seven new courses in the coming autumn/winter programme now open for enrolment, designed to further optimise production processes.
Ceramic Technology Academy (CTA), the SBS’s (Acimac School of Management Training) new English-language training platform aimed at ceramic companies based outside Italy, once again confirms its vital role in specialist training for ceramic technology. Looking ahead to the autumn/winter programme, the catalogue is expanding with seven new courses designed to further optimise production processes and now open for enrolment:
- Improve the efficiency in glaze preparation process: a comprehensive and integrated overview of the preparation process and its intra-plant (logistic) distribution of the various products for glazing applications (glazes/engobes).
- Drying of ceramic products: provides a general overview of the drying process, offering information related to the physical aspects of the process as well as the energy management of the dryer.
- Firing for ceramic products and roller kiln: the course is structured into two comprehensive module and focus on a general overview of the firing process, offering information related to the chemical-physical aspects of the process and the defects resulting from product transformations.
- Management of storage, sorting, packaging and palletization of ceramic tiles: this module provides a comprehensive and integrated overview of tile handling across the phases of temporary storage, sorting, packaging and palletization.
In addition to the four courses mentioned above, CTA is proud to present a Focus Decoration with an initial proposal of three courses to which more will be added during 2026:
- Glazing line configuration: the course aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of possible glazing line configuration and management with respect to different product typologies.
- Colour Management: participants will acquire an in-depth understanding of color management applied to digital ceramic printing.
- Generation of ICC Profile: the module aims to equip participants with the skills to correctly create an ICC profile for color management. It will address the selection of color methods, patch numbers, and total ink coverage
The course tutors are leading experts in the ceramic industry with extensive, in-depth knowledge of companies’ production processes and the issues they face, as well as considerable experience in training activities.
CTA also offers, upon request, a customized service that includes standard training modules, tailor-made training for individual companies, the possibility of in-depth online consulting on specific production issues that companies may face, as well as the opportunity to create comprehensive training plans tailored to the specific business context across all typical areas of the ceramic sector.
