Pamesa Group optimizes production process with Gruppo B&T

Increased productivity, format-change flexibility, and an expanded range with products featuring unique aesthetic effects.

The adoption of a series of technologies supplied by the Italian Gruppo B&T has enabled Pamesa Group to optimize its production processes and broaden its product range. At a time when the ceramic tile industry is being called upon to swiftly respond to growing pressure on production costs and increasingly demanding market expectations, the Spanish group has successfully enhanced operational efficiency while ensuring consistent quality, responsiveness to demand, and long-term sustainability.

Starting with an analysis of production flows, Pamesa’s project focused on streamlining production layouts and optimizing set-up times. The installation of two SUPERA® moldless presses, a 7-tier dryer, new kilns, and the DRYFIX digital printer by Projecta for 3D surface structures has delivered tangible benefits, including: increased productivity (3.3 strokes per minute), greater flexibility in format changes (the plant produces surfaces measuring 120x120 cm, 160x160 cm, up to 120x360 cm), and the ability to create products with unique aesthetic effects that stand out in the market.

For Pamesa Group, this was not merely a technological upgrade of its facilities, but a clear and concrete strategic vision — one capable of meeting present challenges and shaping the future of industrial ceramics.
