FIMO joins Swedish group Axel Johnson International
The move will strengthen the Sassuolo-based company’s position in the international ceramic market.
Axel Johnson International, a Swedish industrial group that is expanding rapidly in Southern Europe, has acquired FIMO S.p.A., a leading supplier of mechanical solutions for the ceramic industry.
Headquartered in Sassuolo and with more than 50 years of experience, FIMO is recognised for its highly specialised offering covering the entire ceramic production line, including mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic components, pumping and compression systems, as well as predictive maintenance and retrofit services. One of its most advanced solutions is ENEAgreen, a proprietary press oil cooling system that achieves energy savings of up to 60%, setting a new benchmark for sustainability in the sector.
With a strong network of premium partners and a clear focus on innovation, FIMO has established itself as a strategic player in supporting the technological and ecological evolution of the ceramic supply chain. Becoming part of the Axel Johnson International Group enables FIMO to undertake a new phase of growth and consolidation aimed at strengthening its presence in the international ceramics market.
