Kerakoll acquires British company Tilemaster Adhesive

The Kerakoll Group, Sassuolo, world leader in GreenBuilding materials, has acquired 100% of Tilemaster Adhesive, the British leader in the production and sale of ceramic and natural stone installation systems.

Founded in 1990 by the Kelly family, Tilemaster Adhesive now has a turnover of 16 million GBP and over 450 clients, with the ability to deliver within 24-48 of booking the order from their Leyland, Lancashire, factory. Mark Kelly, the current General Manager, will keep his position to ensure management continuity and the implementation of the development plan.

The company's market share and turnover place Kerakoll third in the UK ceramic installation market, and offers opportunities for further rapid growth in this strategic market, where the demand for cutting edge, sustainable products is constantly on the rise.

A plan to expand in the British market has already been drawn up for the period 2018-2021, as Gian Luca Sghedoni, CEO Kerakoll Group, explains, thanks to“investments for 30 million GBP to expand and upgrade the Leyland plant, to be followed by a new production plant which will be the most modern and technologically advanced in our industry. The investments will also go to building a new Research Centre and new offices. From the point of view of sales, we will be diversifying our product range and implementing new Kerakoll technologies, all with the aim of consolidating our leadership in the British market.

The acquisition is part of Kerakoll’s long term strategy, which includes a strong drive to further internationalise the business and investments of 100 million euro over the next three years. The Leyland plant is flanked by Kerakoll's factories in Italy, Spain, Poland, Greece, France and India and the Group's sales companies in Croatia, the UK, Germany, Portugal, USA, Hungary, UAE and Brazil.
