LB’s new Technology Centre
Inaugurated at LB’s headquarters in Fiorano Modenese in October, the new Technology Centre represents a strategic R&D investment for the raw materials processing sector.
LB Technology Group of Fiorano Modenese took a major step forward in its innovation strategy in October with the inauguration of its new Technology Centre. Designed to speed up research and development activities in the field of raw materials processing, the new centre provides customers and partners with a fully equipped facility managed by a team of six specialised technicians who oversee the entire process, from formulation through to solution validation.
At the heart of the upgraded facility is the new granulation tower, a project co-financed by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development capable of simulating real production conditions and optimising recipes and parameters as part of an effort to develop increasingly sustainable processes. One such technology is dry granulation, which reduces consumption and emissions by more than 50% and allows industrial waste to be reused.
The Technology Centre is a laboratory where LB and its customers work together on developing customised projects and testing solutions prior to production. Working in partnership with institutions such as ISSMC-CNR means that the results are certified and industrially scalable.
With this new centre, the LB Technology Group – consisting of LB and Barcom – aims to strengthen its role as a technology partner for a more efficient, circular and sustainable industry capable of transforming every resource into value.
