SanMarco supplies Maax line bricks for a school in Caslano

The bricks were produced using traditional soft mud technology and installed with a 2 cm joint, helping the complex blend in harmoniously with the surrounding landscape.

SanMarco Terreal has supplied 40,000 Maax line facing bricks for a school in the town of Caslano in the Malcantone region of Switzerland.

Officially opened in September 2018 and designed by architects Adolfo Zanetti, Lucia Ravagni and Alvise Marzollo, the building is divided into three volumes that emerge from a single unit and create a public space that serves as a meeting and distribution area.

The façade cladding bricks come in an 11.5x49x4 cm size and have a very unusual colour designed by the architects in partnership with the SanMarco laboratories.

The bricks were produced using traditional soft mud technology and installed with a 2 cm joint, helping the complex blend in harmoniously with the surrounding landscape.
