Viglacera chooses Altadia Group as its strategic partner

The four Altadia Group companies Esmalglass-Itaca, Fritta, Vetriceramici and Younexa will act as Viglacera’s main glaze, frit and colour suppliers for its new large porcelain slab factory.

Esmalglass-Itaca, Fritta, Vetriceramici and Younexa, four companies belonging to the world-leading glaze, colour, ink and ceramic frit group Altadia, will become the main suppliers to the new plant currently being completed by the Viglacera Corporation on the southern outskirts of Ho Chi Minh City.

The factory is the eighth ceramic tile plant owned by the historic Vietnamese group and will produce large size ceramic tiles and slabs using Sacmi’s Continua+ technology for applications on floors, walls and kitchen countertops and as furnishing accessories.

With this state-of-the-art plant, Viglacera aims to strengthen its leadership position in the high-end porcelain market and has chosen the Altadia Group member companies as strategic suppliers to support the development and production of new collections.

A number of factors contributed to the signing of this important agreement for both parties, including the four glaze and colour producers’ reputation for experience, quality and innovation and the Altadia Group’s international presence across 19 countries, with production centres in Spain and Italy as well as factories in Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand.

Viglacera Corporation is a pioneering Vietnamese ceramic tile producer with 47 years of experience in the market. Today it is the country’s largest building materials producer with operations spanning a variety of sectors and a portfolio ranging from ceramic tiles to glass, sanitaryware, bricks and concrete blocks and panels. With the start-up of the new plant, it will also produce large porcelain slabs, an entirely new type of product for the Vietnamese market. Viglacera operates in 40 countries with around 300 offices and distribution centres and has a workforce of approximately 9,000 employees worldwide.
