The Indian ceramic group has announced new investments of more than $30 million, to bring its total capacity to exceed 80 million sqm/year by March 2022

The Indian group is confident and determined to surge ahead in the post pandemic phase, thanks to its financial solidity and recent production investments.
With an installed capacity already in excess of 40 million pieces/year, India is the world’s second largest sanitaryware producer. 75% of production comes from Gujarat.
Production and exports will continue to grow. The new challenge comes from the introduction of 42.9% antidumping duties on Indian tiles in the Gulf States.
The Continua+ line was started up in September and will enable Simpolo to position itself in the high end of the market with a full range of new products in sizes up to 1600x3200 mm.
The company expects to return to CAGR of 12-13% over the next 3-4 years and to increase profitability through capacity expansion for glazed vitrified tiles and a greater retail footprint.
Organised by LB Arte Italiana, the LB division responsible for product research and development in the ceramic sector, the competition was held for the second time in May this year.
The Italian group recently set up new branches in Russia and India alongside those already operating in Brazil, USA, Spain, Portugal, Turkey and Poland.
In addition to the existing range of inks and digital materials, the new company Sicer – Inkera will soon begin producing glazes and ceramic compounds along with technical grits and specialties for glazing high-end ceramic surfaces.
