The Ceramic Industry mourns Cirillo Mussini

19/03/07 - Cirillo Mussini, doctor, professor of Rheumatology at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and chairman of the Atlas Concorde Group, died during the night between Friday 16 and Saturday 17 March at the age of 71 after a long illness.

The world of ceramic is united in mourning one of its key international figures.
"We shall miss his charisma, his penetrating analyses and lively intelligence, his humanity. Today the ceramic sector has lost one of its key figures". This was how Pierluigi Ponzoni and Paolo Gambuli, respectively chairman and director of Acimac, paid tribute to Mussini.

An emotional Alfonso Panzani, chairman of Confindustria Ceramica, described him as "an affectionate friend and a farsighted entrepreneur who played a leading role in the Italian ceramic industry over the last thirty years".

Brilliant and visionary, he had a firm belief in young people and in the vitality of the Sassuolo ceramic district and nurtured the hope that the business, political and financial systems could work together to make up the district's lost ground.

Today it is our duty not to let this hope remain unfulfilled.
