A ceramic summer school

A course entitled “Ceramics for Interior and Exterior Architecture” will begin on 29 June this year at the Accademia dell’Artigianato Artistico in Este (province of Padova, Italy) for the purpose of promoting new creativity in the ceramic sector and fostering the production of new standard products. Through practical and laboratory sessions it offers industry professionals (teachers and students, designers, architects, entrepreneurs and operators) the opportunity to develop new technical skills in the use of non-conventional ceramic materials for the development of new elements in architecture.

The course is open to a maximum of 15 participants and is divided into two 88 hour modules.
The first, focusing on model design and production, will be coordinated and directed by internationally acclaimed sculptor, ceramist and designer Nino Caruso (29 June to 4 July).
The second, led by ceramist, sculptor and painter Gastone Primon, will be devoted to the production of prototypes (6 to 10 July).
