Cersaie 2025: save the date for the ADI Ceramic&Bathroom Design Award and ADI Booth Design Award

The excellence of Italian design on show at Cersaie, taking place in Bologna from 22 to 26 September 2025.

The collaboration between ADI – Associazione per il Disegno Industriale (Industrial Design Association) and Cersaie, the International Exhibition of Ceramic Tile and Bathroom Furnishings, is renewed again this year, ahead of the upcoming edition taking place in Bologna from 22 to 26 September 2025. This well-established alliance – launched in 2014 with the creation of the ADI Ceramic&Bathroom Design Award and strengthened in 2019 with the introduction of the ADI Booth Design Award – has become a virtuous example of synergy between design culture and the trade fair system.

Organised by ADI Emilia-Romagna, the ADI awards select the best products and exhibition booths presented at the fair each year. The ADI Ceramic&Bathroom Design Award will be judged by a panel of industry experts, including designers Diego Grandi, Paolo D'Arrigo, Valentina Downey, Wladimiro Bendandi and architect and lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna, Cecilia Bione. The ADI Booth Design Award will be judged by a jury comprising architects Pierluigi Molteni, Elizabeth Francis, Elena Santi and Paolo Cesaretti. Entries will be evaluated based on criteria such as innovation, design quality, sustainability, technological research and communicative value.

“For us at ADI, these awards are an excellent opportunity to directly observe the evolution of design in the world of ceramics and bathroom furnishings,” says Wladimiro Bendandi, President of ADI Emilia-Romagna. “It's a form of scouting that allows us to identify signals and emerging trends in a sector that is strategic for Made in Italy.”

The aim is twofold: to showcase the work of exhibiting companies and to guide selected products toward inclusion in the ADI Design Index, the official shortlist for the Compasso d'Oro Award, Italy’s most prestigious design accolade.

“Taking part in these awards,” Bendandi adds, “is more than a recognition of merit, it’s a strategic decision. It means engaging in dialogue with the world of design, strengthening your brand identity and contributing to the promotion of design culture.”

As in previous years, the award ceremony for the ADI Ceramic&Bathroom Design Award and ADI Booth Design Award will be held in September 2025 at the Cersaie Service Centre Auditorium.
