Hob Certec makes positive forecasts for 2022

The Czech roller manufacturer has also embarked on a capacity expansion project scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2022

Hob Certec, the leading Czech manufacturer of ceramic kiln rollers, posted very positive results in 2021 and is anticipating further growth in 2022 despite the latest challenges. The rising costs and limited availability of raw materials together with unsustainably high prices for electricity, gas, logistics, equipment and packaging have forced the company to raise its selling prices for finished products, although its meticulous planning and production optimisation allows it to continue to guarantee on-time deliveries for all confirmed orders.

Hob Certec has also embarked on a production capacity expansion project which will bring a 20% increase in capacity as new equipment comes on stream in the fourth quarter of the current year. With this latest investment, the company aims to boost its competitiveness and gain new market shares, especially in Europe.

While eagerly awaiting the normal resumption of trade fairs, the company confirms that it will be taking part both in Cevisama in Valencia in June and in Tecna 2022 in Rimini in September.

The new Hyperroll IQ roller delivers excellent results

The latest addition to the Hob Certec roller range is Hyperroll IQ, a hi-tech roller which guarantees a high level of flatness and a reduction in defects and deformations and is suitable for firing all types of ceramic tiles and slabs, including high thickness products. Developed by the R&D team led by Pavel Kopacka, the Hyperroll IQ is the first to combine all the most important technical parameters for ceramic rollers, particularly thermal shock resistance and flexural strength, an aspect that is especially important for large sizes.

Hyperroll IQ’s extremely high modulus of elasticity (120 GPa) enables it to withstand high loads, while its excellent thermal shock resistance allows rollers to be installed and removed even at high temperatures.

Further advantages of Hyperroll IQ include its low porosity, which avoids defects caused by chemical attack, and a smooth surface which stays clean for a long period of time and prevents dirt from accumulating.
