Martinelli is looking to the future and has set up Emar Impianti, a new company that produces plants for handling raw materials and ceramic powders, especially technologies for storage, transport, batching and mixing as well as powder colouring and press feeding systems.

Alongside its core business as a manufacturer of ceramic tile moulds, in recent years the Sassuolo-based group has focused increasingly on this segment.

"The success achieved in the loading systems market (especially the X55 multiple feeder) persuaded the company to make further investments in this area," explained Erminio Guiducci (pictured), appointed general manager of the new company after acquiring extensive experience as sales and marketing manager at LB and business director of Intesa (Sacmi Group).

Set up in late 2014, Emar Impianti works in synergy with the other companies in the historic Italian group and also partners with Definitive Innovation, a Modena-based company specialising in precision batching technologies with extensive experience in a range of industrial sectors. Guiducci believes that "the partnership with Definitive Innovation will enable us to complete the Emar Impianti range with the necessary equipment to fully exploit the potential of the loading systems".

Stefano Paloschi, likewise an expert in the ceramic industry with previous experience at LB and Siti B&T Group, has been appointed sales manager. The management's goal "is to create a competent and highly motivated working group capable of delivering innovative technical solutions that meet the current production needs of tile manufacturers worldwide", Paloschi explained. "Along with new plant engineering ideas, we intend to consolidate our customer service, technical support and product development activities," he added.

Emar Impianti already has an experienced team of technicians and plans to increase its workforce with a targeted search for highly specialised profiles. It also benefits from the positive synergies with the entire Martinelli Group (founded in 1953 by Ettore Martinelli), which includes Martinelli Ettore, international leader in the production of moulds and punches, and Emar-Imes, a manufacturer of loading systems and presses for the production of trim pieces.
