Inter Ser at the Italy-Mexico Business Forum
The event, held in Mexico City, brought together Italian and Mexican companies and institutions to strengthen economic, commercial and industrial ties between the two countries.
On 22 May, Inter Ser CEO Paolo Zanoni took part in the Italy-Mexico Business Forum held in Mexico City. Promoted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency ITA, the forum brought together companies and institutions from both countries with the goal of strengthening bilateral economic, trade and industrial relations.
The plenary session was opened by Mexico’s Secretary of Economy, Marcelo Ebrard, and Italy’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani. The session continued with contributions from representatives of major industrial companies, trade associations and institutions, including Pirelli, Enel Group, Eni, Sparkle, Federmacchine, ITA, SIMEST, SACE and CDP-Cassa Depositi e Prestiti. The Forum highlighted the outstanding opportunities offered by the Mexican market as a result of its strategic position, favourable investment policies and the new EU-Mexico trade agreement signed in January 2025, which is set to further boost trade between the two economies.
At the panel discussion focused on the machinery sector, Paolo Zanoni talked about Inter Ser’s experience in Mexico, where the company has operated for more than 20 years through its subsidiary Inter Ser de México. In his remarks, Zanoni reiterated the company’s commitment to continue growing and investing in the country, noting the value of collaboration among Italian businesses. He also presented the Italtech Project, an initiative that has seen Inter Ser establish strategic partnerships with other Italian manufacturers to promote and distribute their products in Mexico.
Further networking opportunities were provided by a meeting held at the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Mexico and attended by representatives of 12 sector associations, including Federmacchine chairman Bruno Bettelli, and of several Italian companies (including Inter Ser) that are already operating in Mexico in the strategic sectors addressed by the forum.
