Smaltochimica launches Smaltoten

The new Smaltoten temporary binders significantly increase the mechanical strength of tiles and are available in both powder and liquid form.

Smaltochimica has developed the Smaltoten range of temporary binders which can be added to the ceramic mix to considerably increase the mechanical strength of tiles following shaping. These binders are suitable for any type of product, from traditional tile sizes through to large slabs, and are available in powder form for direct use in milling and in liquid form to be mixed into the slip after discharge from the mill.

Smaltoten series products maintain the rheological characteristics of the slip almost unchanged. This allows for a considerable reduction in wet and dried waste without having to make significant alterations to the existing production process.

Building on the considerable experience gained over the years in the industrialisation of binders for ceramic mixes both in Italy and worldwide, Smaltochimica offers the ceramic industry not just a wide range of products but also a technical R&D service and dedicated laboratory equipment capable of designing the ideal product for specific production requirements.
