2005 growth year for Ancora Group

02/05/06 - The Sassuolo-based Ancora Group, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of ceramic finishing machines in the third-party polishing sector with its two Levitiles factories and the San Marco facility in Sulmona, reported a 33.8% increase in consolidated turnover in 2005.
Last year the company posted sales of 47.5 million euro compared to 35.5 million euro in 2004.

These figures are the result of growth in all the group’s segments of activity.
In the mechanical sector, the group is consolidating its presence with longstanding customers and scoring major success abroad, especially in Iran and Eastern European countries.
In the polishing sector, it has made intense efforts to provide a better service for customers in terms of information and range of operations. For this purpose, last July it launched Hi-Coat, an in-line treatment of lapped and polished porcelain tile that is enjoying growing success in Italy and abroad.
Last year the Group also introduced Levikurve, a unique technology in Italy that allows ceramic tiles to be bent to create L-shaped pieces and steps from flat finished pieces.

In 2005 the SAP system was introduced throughout the group.

The Group’s objectives for 2006 include technological growth and commercial consolidation of the two new products Hi-Coat and Levikurve, as well as Giotto, the new technology that Ancora intends to establish in the glaze milling sector.
As of this year, Ancora customers will be offered a new service consisting of a free check-up of all machines in operation in Italy and abroad.
