Baucon Yapex in Turkey set to open

The city of Antalya in Turkey will be hosting the sixteenth Baucon Yapex, the international trade fair for building materials, construction technology and building renovation specialising in the tourist industry. Organised annually by Akdeniz Tanitim A.S. in collaboration with the German Exhibitions Group Messe München, the show will take place from 30 October to 2 November. It has become a meeting point for tourism investors and architects and is the ideal forum for discussing the latest materials and technologies to be used in the tourist industry.

The exhibition will feature three theme sections: Yapex Windoor featuring the latest developments in the door and window sector, Yapex Ceramic&Bathroom, a comprehensive showcase of bathroom solutions for tourism facilities and dwellings, and Yapex Tadilat, which will propose ideas for renovation and improvement of facilities in anticipation of the next tourist season.

A number of symposia will be held during the exhibition, including the International Tourism and Architecture Symposium II and ArchiPoint. The first will address tourism architecture and policies and the second occupational development, catering for architects and companies.

In 2007 Baucon Yapex hosted approximately 30,000 visitors and 350 exhibitor companies.
