Ceramicas Lourdes installs new plant

09/03/04 - Ceramicas Lourdes, one of the largest ceramic manufacturers in Argentina, based at Burzaco in the industrial hinterland of Buenos Aires, will complete the installation of a new tile production plant by the end of 2004.

The new line will be supplied entirely by Sacmi of Imola and will comprise two PH 3590 presses, an EUP single-channel dryer and a Sapiens FMP kiln. This follows a previous order in 2003 when Sacmi supplied Ceramicas Lourdes with an MTc 081 continuous mill and an ATM 065 spray dryer.

When the new plant starts up, Ceramicas Lourdes will have an annual production capacity close to 10 million square metres and will become the first South American tile manufacturer to use TwinPress technology. It has a wide product range extending from large-format wall tiles to polished porcelain tiles and is committed to constant research into the most advanced technological solutions.

Ceramicas Lourdes has expanded very rapidly in the twelve years since it was established and has achieved outstanding results in both the domestic and export markets.
