Cersanit (Poland) installs technology from LB

27/08/03 - The Polish group Cersanit recently purchased two Technological Towers, two silos storage systems and two Dual double press loading systems from LB Officine Meccaniche of Fiorano, Italy.

Following the installation of this modern, efficient system consisting of latest-generation LB technology, Cersanit – a leading company in the ceramic sector with a current tile production capacity of close to 12 million square metres – is now able to produce porcelain tiles of outstanding aesthetic quality. Following ongoing investments and expansions at the Walbrzych plant, capacity is expected to reach 19 million square metres by 2004.

Cersanit is also Poland’s leading sanitaryware manufacturer with a capacity of 2.2 million pieces/year at its state-of-the-art plant at Krasnystaw. The Group additionally produces bathroom accessories at its plant in Starachowice.
