Confindustria Ceramica Distributor Awards

21/09/07 - The official award ceremony will take place on October 2nd at Cersaie, after the economics lecture due to take place in the ‘Sala Europa’ in the conference hall adjacent to the fair, but the winners have already been announced.
The Confindustria Ceramic Distributor Awards have been assigned to four importers/distributors chosen by the Confindustria Ceramica jury, for their efforts in promoting and spreading the Italian tile culture.
The award winning companies are:

- C.C.B Barili Srl from Bari, a company founded in 1962 which has achieved, during the past year, a turnover of 16.5 billion Euro, of which 38% is directly attributed to the sales of tiles. The company employs 84 people in two showrooms, with an exhibition space which covers 4,500 square meters;

- Filgres Carrelages Sarl. A distributor from Saint-Genis-Laval (France), with 37 employees and a total turnover of almost 10 million Euro, of which 90% is derived from the marketing of ceramics. The four show-rooms occupy 1,200 square meters;

- Harry's Fliesenmarkt from Hamburg (Germany) was founded in 1962 and currently employs 45 people. The commerical network is quite extensive covering a total of 7,000 square meters of exhibition space;

- For Sweden the 2007 winner is Konradssons Kakel AB – with headquarters in Jönköping and two branches in Stockholm and Gothenburg. The distribution company, founded in 1968, last year recorded a turnover of 17.7 billion dollars, of which 78% was through the sales of ceramic tiles. There are currently 36 employees.
