Countdown to second edition of Made Expo

Preparations for the second Made Expo exhibition devoted to building and architecture are proceeding at a rapid pace. From 4 to 7 February 2009, the Milan-Rho exhibition centre will be the meeting point for the world of planning and construction, promoting collaboration between all segments of the industry in developing innovation and research.

Following the success of last year’s event which was attended by 170,779 visitors, including 154,754 from Italy and 16,025 from abroad, a very large number of companies have booked exhibition space, including both companies present in 2008 and new exhibitors.
The exhibition formula of staging a number of shows together will be maintained in order to offer a comprehensive picture of the sector while retaining the specific features of the different production segments. Europolis, the exhibition of swimming pools, sports facilities, fitness and urban design, will be back and there will be renewed interest in issues concerning the environment and energy saving.

The exhibition’s offerings are complemented by cultural events, conferences and workshops for designers, companies, industry professionals, the press and training centres.

In anticipation of the World Expo 2015, Made Expo is one of the partners engaged in redesigning Milan’s urban fabric through large-scale works that will involve acclaimed international architects as well as institutions and private groups committed to investing in the city’s urban planning and economic vitality.

In January CeramicWorldWeb will be devoting a newsletter to the exhibition with a presentation of the events in the programme, a preview of the products on display, as well as news and new features.
