Fashion in the ceramic industry: guidelines from Ferro for 2004

22/08/03 - The colour multinational Ferro has published "Moods 2004", a booklet containing guidelines and tips for ceramic companies on how to interpret changes in society and the market. It is a short study of changes in fashion and ways of thinking produced on behalf of Ferro and its customers by Ornella Bignami (Elementi Moda, Milan), a member of numerous trend committees including Premiere Vision and Pitti Filati).
The publication is divided into six different types of trends, corresponding to six different families of colours that may be useful for the kinds of products that tile companies are proposing. The trends are: Winter Garden, Hammam, Stone, and Wood, Under Glass and Dress your Home.
"Moods 2004" explains how everything evolves in our now globalised world according to a hitherto unparalleled sense of individuality, bound up with and enhanced by the concepts of "total living", the mutual interaction between people and their home environment.
Although Ferro is not a ceramic tile manufacturer, it feels the need to acknowledge and embrace this change in culture in order to offer its customers stimulating creative ideas and useful information that goes beyond purely technical characteristics and performance of materials.
