The Gulf region hosts the BIG5 Show

The BIG5 Show, the largest event in the Middle East for the building and construction sectors, will be back from 23 to 27 November. The Dubai International Exhibition Centre will once again be hosting a show that reported outstanding figures last year: around 3,000 exhibitor companies from 52 countries, 30 halls occupied by domestic companies and an attendance of more than 50,000 high-quality visitors including importers, distributors, contractors, architects and interior designers.

The Italian ceramic machinery manufacturers will be taking part in the event by way of an Italian pavilion located in Raschid Hall and organised by Acimac (Italian ceramic plant and machinery manufacturers' association) in cooperation with the Italian Foreign Trade Commission. The pavilion features such world-leading companies as Air Power, Manfredini & Schianchi, Piccinini Impianti, Poligraph, Sacmi, Siti-B&T, Stylgraph and System.

The BIG5 Show devotes plenty of space to technology, demonstrating the high potential of the U.A.E. market in the construction sector. The latest plant machinery innovations will be showcased at the BIG 5PMV (Plant Machinery Vehicles), a 40,000 square metre exhibit space (10,000 square metres more than in 2007) occupied by 300 exhibitor companies. The Italian ceramic machinery supplier companies taking part in this area include Automazioni Cismac, Tecno Impianti and Sermac.

The show will address themes that are now global in scale such as energy saving, eco-sustainability and environmentally-friendly housing solutions. These subjects will be tackled by the leading world experts invited to The Big 5 Technical Conference on 24 November in the Monarch Hotel in Dubai, which will focus attention on global development of green building.
