Heraeus acquires BASF's Ceramic Decoration color business

09/11/05 - The German multinational W.C. Heraeus, a leader in the precious metal sector with sales of 8.3 billion euro, recently announced the acquisition of BASF’s Decoration Color business for glassware, ceramics and porcelain.

Heraeus will manufacture the acquired decoration color series at Heraeus Schauer in Vienna.

The sale does not include any of BASF’s facilities or personnel. BASF also retains ownership of the Sicocer® brand name for stains for the floor tile industry.
