I Saloni 2008

From 16 to 21 April, the Fiera Milano exhibition centre in Rho will once again be showcasing a wide range of new products during I Saloni, an unmissable appointment and international reference point for the furnishing, home and contract sectors.

The large International Furniture Show is continuing to enjoy enormous success. The last event was attended by 270,000 visitors, including 165,000 from 145 different foreign countries, and hosted almost 2,000 exhibitor companies.
This year, in a new exhibition space of more than 220,000 square metres, there will be approximately 2,375 exhibitors and five different events: Eurocucina, the new Office Show (biennial international workplace show, formerly Eimu), the International Bathroom Show, the International Furnishing Accessory Show and SaloneSatellite.
The International Bathroom Show will host more than 120 companies in an exhibition space of 9,800 square metres. Hall 14 will be showcasing the best of bathroom accessories and furniture, shower enclosures and sauna systems, ceramic sanitaryware, radiators, surface coverings, taps, baths and whirlpools.

Last but not least, the SaloneSatellite will focus on creativity with prototypes of alternative furniture proposed by young designers.
The show will be complemented by numerous ancillary events held both in the exhibition centre and in the city. One of the most eagerly anticipated is the appointment with renowned film director Peter Greenaway. The artist will give new life to one of the world’s most celebrated paintings in an event entitled Leonardo’s Last Supper, to be held from 16 April to 4 May in Sala delle Cariatidi, Palazzo Reale
