Italian ceramic tiles at "i Made" exhibition in Los Angeles

Italian ceramic tiles at 2 December 2002 - Experimentation and the technologies of the Italian interior design industry, including the use of Italian ceramic tiles, is the theme of an exhibition entitled "i Made - i modi del produrre" to be held in the Track 16 Gallery at the Bergamot Station Arts Center in Santa Monica from today up until 24 December.
As part of the Abitare Italia, Life in I Style project, the Italian Trade Commission ICE will be organising a series of events promoting the image of Italian products at the exhibition. The Italian ceramic tile industry is making a major contribution to the extensive series of ancillary and communication events at the exhibition through a seminar, to be introduced by Gabriele Giorgi from Assopiastrelle and held by Arturo Mastelli, a leading expert on the sector in the United States. The meeting will be held on 6 December at the same venue and will be entitled "External ventilated facades: applications and design techniques". It will address a theme of great interest for the North American market in that it allows for a wealth of potential applications.
The entire "Ceramic Tiles of Italy" promotional toolkit will be handed out during the meeting, including the English versions of the magazine Cer International, the CD-ROMs "How and Why" and "Projects and Products" and the recently published manual entitled "Ceramic tiles in urban spaces", presented at Cersaie 2002.
