Qualicer 2008: tenth edition of world congress comes to an end

The tenth edition of Qualicer, the world congress on ceramic tile quality held in Castellón from 10 to 13 February 2008, was attended by approximately 600 experts from 25 different countries.

Amongst the professionals who presented their work at the event, Mila Payà and Josè Castellano spoke about possible future approaches to ceramic tile innovation and the well-known ceramic sector consultant Arturo Mastelli gave a talk focusing on the use of eco-sustainable materials for ecological architecture.
Javier Portolés, head of R&D at Tau Ceramica, presented a work on "Ceramics and living: a potential opportunity for ceramic sector companies" and Scott Carothers offered an analysis of the North American tile market and its development potential.
Another leading expert, Alfredo Gonzàles, chairman of the Spanish glaze and colour association (ANFECC), addressed the theme of internationalisation as a competitive advantage, while Rajesh Nath presented a study on the Indian market and Domingo Garcìa Marzà outlined his vision of the social responsibility of companies.

The next Qualicer will be held in 2010.
