At Acimac's headquarters, professor Surachet Sittikit from King Mongkut's University of Technology in Bangkok interviewed director Paolo Gambuli as part of a study commissioned by the Thai government to investigate the unique qualities and characteristics of a world-leading industry.
The aim of the study is to understand the success factors and the strategies pursued by Italian companies in order to improve the level of technology and technical expertise of the Thai industry.

Professor Sittikit collected information concerning cooperation between machinery suppliers and ceramic manufacturers, the winning characteristics that continue to make the Italian industry the world leader in its sector, and the challenges posed by international competition. Special attention was given to issues of technical training of personnel and technological innovation, an area in which the Italian machinery manufacturers are the undisputed world leaders.

During the interview, Dr. Gambuli praised the outstanding mechanical and electronic expertise of the sector's companies and their ability to design and build highly complex and sophisticated machinery. The strong demand from the Italian ceramic manufacturers has also been an essential factor behind the growth of the machinery sector, he explained.
