As usual, this year’s Cevisama (10-13 February 2009) hosted the presentation of the Alfa de Oro awards given by the Spanish ceramic and glass association SECV for the most innovative products on display at the show.
The awards went to companies Kerafrit, Ceracasa, Revigres and Tau for their commitment to the environment and safety.
Kerafrit excelled for developing a nanostructured glaze with impermeable, bactericidal, fungicidal and self-cleaning properties.
Ceracasa won the Alfa de Oro award for a product capable of reducing the concentration of NOx in the atmosphere, while Revigres presented at 6 mm thick porcelain tile capable of cutting process and transport costs.
Last but not least, TAU Ceramica won the award for a floor covering system designed for urban spaces that delivers characteristics such as comfort, design and high mechanical strength. Due to its biomechanical characteristics and universal design, the product facilitates transit for people with reduced mobility.

The Alfa de Plata awards went to Levantina and Asociados Minerales for the production of decorated laminated ceramic, and to Rocersa and Sierragres.
