Euromeccanica secures contracts in the Arabian Peninsula

Two major supply contracts have further strengthened Euromeccanica’s presence in the Arabian Peninsula. The Maranello, Italy-based company is one of the technological partners of the newly formed Saudi Arabian company Future Ceramics, which will be starting up production of 40,000 sq.m/day of single fired and through-bodied porcelain tiles at the factory in Dammam, close to the border with Bahrain. Euromeccanica has been commissioned to supply machinery for wet grinding, colorimetry and colour-matching. In particular, a colorimetric system consisting of a Eurorotomix industrial batcher and an Iride colour reading and formulation system will be installed. Comprising dedicated machinery and software, the system revolutionises the traditional method of formulating and managing decoration inks, glazes and mottles and makes the production process not only more flexible but also more cost-effective and reliable. The plant will also be supplied with a complete microsphere mill department from Euromeccanica’s Euromill series.

A similar supply contract has been signed with the world giant Rak Ceramics. A colorimetric system consisting of a Eurorotomix industrial batcher and an Iride will be installed at the company’s headquarters in Ras Al Khaimah (UAE). The plant will also be supplied with a Euromill series microsphere mill department.
