A revolution called porcelain laminate
"The production cycle is based on dry pressing of ceramic powders," Prof. Paganelli explained. "The technology is similar to that used for porcelain tiles, but the dimensions are quite different: just a three millimetre thickness for a surface area of three square metres. To achieve this, all the technology had to be totally redesigned." The great advantage of porcelain laminate is its resistance to harmful agents such as fire, acids, abrasives, frost and sunlight. On the strength of these characteristics, the material is now considered one of the most prestigious and reliable covering materials available on the market
