Sipe, a consortium for research into materials and advanced machineryModena, 14 November 2002 - Sipe, a Modena-based consortium with the purpose of developing the local area through scientific and technological research and training in innovation, was set up on 25 June 2002. In particular, Sipe specialises in material technologies and advanced machinery (for applications including ceramics and powder metallurgy), automation, the environment and information technology. On Tuesday 19 November, the consortium's activities and prospects will be outlined at a press conference by chairman Ivano Passini and director Antonio Rossi.
