Italian Exhibition Group and the Italian Ceramic Machinery Manufacturers’ Association will continue to collaborate on the 2026, 2028 and 2030 editions of Tecna.

The Italian ceramic technology manufacturers’ association has re-elected the incumbent chairman for the two-year period 2024-2026.

Acimac presents the new brand that identifies Italian manufacturing technology, design and services for ceramics. It will accompany the international promotion of the sector.

The new MECS report analyses India’s ceramic tile exports between 2014 and 2023. It looks at volumes, values and average prices in the 139 export markets and features two new sections devoted to in-depth studies of porcelain tile exports and the global presence of India’s 30 top exporters

The first collectives of the year have been organised in two strategic regions for Italian ceramic machinery exports.

200 exhibitors have already confirmed their participation eight months before the show, which will be held in Rimini from 24 to 27 September.

The new Regulation (EU) 2023/1230 published in the Official Journal of the European Union on 29 June will entirely replace the existing Directive 2006/42/EC (“Machinery Directive”) as of 20 January 2027. This means that technology manufacturers have three years to adapt to the new requirements outlined below.

Acimac Research Dept. / MECS updates the yearly analysis of the world ceramic sanitaryware imports/exports flows. After the very strong recovery in 2021, 2022 global sanitaryware exports experienced a 5.6% decline, a downturn observed in all geographical areas of production.

According to preliminary figures compiled by MECS - Acimac Research Centre, the Italian ceramic technology industry’s sales fell by 1.7% but still exceeded €2.3 billion. “This is a good result despite the slowdown in orders in the second half of the year,” commented Acimac Chairman Paolo Lamberti.

The premier trade fair for Ceramic Machinery, Technology and Materials in Southeast Asia will open the doors on November 28 in Hanoi.

The technical conference organised by Ceramic World Review on 17 October in Fiorano was a resounding success.

Indian tile exports grew by 31% in the first half year of 2023 to 272 million sqm, further closing the gap with China which still leads the rankings of the major exporters.

ACIMAC research Dept/MECS anticipates to Ceramic World Review the key figures of the 11th edition of the annual report “World production and consumption of ceramic tiles”. In 2022 world tile production and consumption fell by 9.7% and 10.9% respectively. World tile import-export flows also saw a significant decrease, down 8% on 2021.

Tecna, the international exhibition of technologies and supplies for surfaces organised by Italian Exhibition Group and Acimac, has officially announced its dates for 2024.

Italian machinery industry marks a 14.5% increase on 2021. Exports are worth €1.69 billion. Acimac chairman Lamberti commented: “An outstanding result achieved in an extremely challenging year”.

The Italian Pavilion will host 10 companies as part of a collective organised by Acimac.

Italian research centre MECS-Acimac has published its new report on the Indian ceramic tile industry, which is the result of interviews with around 800 local companies, mostly based in the Morbi district.

Following Indian Ceramics Asia, Acimac has organized a new country pavilion in Latin America.

According to the Acimac-MECS preliminary figures, the Italian ceramic machinery and technology sector is set to record a turnover of € 2.16 billion in 2022 (up 5.2% on 2021) and has already received orders amounting to four months of production in 2023.
