Euromeccanica, new products for screen printing ink preparation sector

Euromeccanica, new products for screen printing ink preparation sectorEuromeccanica, a grinding system manufacturer which for many years has been offering its own line of products geared exclusively to the screen printing ink preparation sector, now offers a wide range of products meeting all requirements of the ceramic laboratory. These include: Euromill series discontinuous microsphere mills for fine milling; Euromix series agitators and mixers; Eurorotomix and Tintoretto automatic batchers and colour matching systems. A new addition is the ceramic colour formulation and reading program with the Iride integrated system.

Iride provides an interface between the automatic dosage management system applied to the Eurorotomix and Tintoretto colour matching systems and the FM3Ceramics formulation software.
Euromeccanica and X-Rite Italia have developed a program for reading colours on a vitrified ceramic body by means of a sphere spectrophotometer. The measured data are transmitted to the formulation program, which interprets them to produce a recipe.
This is sent to the dosage management program, which launches an order for the required procedures and quantities. Iride is designed specifically for analysis and calculation in the ceramic industry and is able to solve problems relating to the chemical and physical transformation of matter in the firing process.

Using the Iride database it is possible to reproduce and reformulate any ceramic colour with an unknown formulation from a small number of colouring oxides (max.12: 6 primary and 6 secondary).
